Rex loop player, 2 Subtractor synths, the new reverb they put in, compressor, and a delay. As for the sound bank, well it's the same sounds as the old reason but w/ a bit less.Īs for ableton live, well my version doesn't even support rewire. That really sucks! I guess only the people who actually buy the digi hardware get a different version of Live.I read somewhere on this forum that Ableton may provide an update for Ableton users including rewire support.

To answer your question.Well I've used the full version of reason in OS9 for a while now so when I hooked up Reason adapted I was really disapointed that there is no matrix editor.I love that machine w/ in reason. The only other complaints is that you can only have a stereo pair of channels via rewire going into ProTools. worth it? Or is the software too limited?ĭo you have a feel yet of how slimmed down they are? If you get it for free, it's a treat! Enjoy! But if you basically just want to check out the stuff to either buy it or drop it, - maybe you should consider saving your 99$ and get the free demos. If you just want a few cheap, and mostly quite limited, plugins it is proably ok. So in my opinion you get no more than what you pay for. This stripped down version is so limited that it does a bad job of advertising the full version, which is really great. Ampltube is a real skimp, after having tried the full demo. The Sampltank is nice but you can only use the sounds that come with it, so it's nothing more than an extended demo without the random bursts of noise, plus a ticket to favourable upgrade options. So maybe you can save stuff with Live, but apparently you can't start new projects, - anyway I got to know the program just as well from their free download, plenty to find out if I would want to take it any further. And this is the problem, I think, with the rest. How much more you really get more than the free demo I don't know, but I wonder. Reason is very interesting to play with, and you can download 30MB free sounds/loops after registration. The only unlimited tool is the T-Racks EQ, which is very good at what it does. On the whole I get the feeling it's a bit of a let down. Maybe it's just a moneything.Īnyways, here is my opinion after a month or so. I ordered and payed on Digis website, and received the bundle pronto.
